My term 3 reflection.

In term3 I have been learning lots of things.I have been learning culture night ,all blacks was fun,hennahands was very paterning,speeches was hard,taniwha I really liked,kapahaka is really fun. and also poi is easy to do. The first thing I am going to talk about is culture night why I had to go to culture night was because the middle syndicate was doing kapahaka the middle syndicate and the seniors were split into teams so we
would take turns every thursday in every week. So then when were finished practising we had a performance on Wednesday night I was so excited then on that night I and my couzin Debbie went to
room 5 to get dressed into our uniform our dress and also pupu I was so happy when I got into my clothes we had to put on our black lipstick and also a drawings on our chin which was mokos.And that was my fun time on term 3.

Night Glow

On Saturday night I went to the night glow. When mum, Roy and his sons Ezra and Elias and me and my cousin Sage were ready we had to go to Chartwell to get some glow sticks. Then we left our car there because we were catching the bus. I was so excited because we were catching the bus. There were other people at the bus stop waiting to go to the Night Glow. When the bus came it was packed, we all had to stand up. It was annoying because people were pushing, that's why we had to hold on to the poles.

When we got to the Night Glow it was so awesome because it was my first time going to this balloon show. Roy had to tell us that if we got separated we would have to meet at the blue flag.

For dinner we had fish n chips, Unfortunately  it started to rain when we were half way threw our chips but we didn't really mind we just kept on eating. When we were finished we bought  tickets for some rides. Me and my cousin Sage got 3 tickets and Ezra and Elias got 7.

I thought that 3 tickets wasn't fair for us but my mum said that 3 tickets was enough for us because she didn't have enough money for 7 tickets for me and Sage. Sage said that we should go to the Haunted House so we told my mum and she said yes, but she didn't notice that my cousin Sage was gone. We looked everywhere but we couldn't see her anywhere.  We eventually found her.

 we watched it a little bit. Then we saw a couple of lanterns. After  when we watched the lanterns me and my cousin. Then they went down because the fire cut off in the lanterns. it was really fun there was only two lanterns up in the sky so we went to look for my mum then I saw her she was with the boys and Roy then I said mum then i tapped her and she got a fright and she said  where have you been and I said
we have been looking for you because we thought that you hear us say that we could look for the haunted house   we went then we thought that we were getting lost. So we came back  to the place where you were and when we were going to the place where you were and  we didn't see you we went around
and I spooted you.


 And my mum said dont go anywhere else stay here and I said yes. Roy gave me and my cousin one more ticket so we had four tickets.
Me and my cousin saw a circus house that your allowed to go in .It was for 4  
tickets so me and my cousin went into the fun circus house and I gave my tickets and went in.It was a little bit hard.


Affter the fun time it was time for
Ezra and my mums time to go on a ride.When they hopped on I said good luck
on the ride and she said yes. I was watching them while they were on the ride.
And at the end it went high as and people were screaming on the ride then it went down I said did you have fun and she said not really and Ezra said it was fun.

Then it was time to go the fireworks were going and we were waiting in line
for our bus. When it was our turn on the bus we finally got seats. Then we got
to chartwell and we went home for a sleep at home.

Losing Nemo

In my reading group ( Homers) we have been reading a story called Losing Nemo .This story is about a boy named Pete and he goes through a hard time because Pete is really obsessed about his fish but then one day he finds out that his fish is not moving which means that his fish has died.Then his aunty Vera trys to make him feel better and tells him that Pete and his aunty Vera will just go and get a new fish but he dosent want another fish.His aunty Vera then tells his sister Sarah that they will just get a new fish and not tell pete that they got him a new fish so he can feel better and just say that nemo came back to life.

The writing I am most Proud of 2015.

''Bang'' the rifle goes off, Whizzing past me like one thousand bees! I felt like I jumped one thousand miles in the air.I saw a lot of bullets flying past me it looked like there was more than one thousand bullets going past me.I could smell the damp water '' swooshing'' in my shoes as i was running.I leaped into the trench as if i was a flea,the dirt smelt like rotten,crumbly biscuits.''squish,squish'' I felt around to find a way out but all i felt was gooey muddy dirt.  

This is my favourite piece of writing because its very descriptive and its a creative piece of writing which i am proud of and will remember for the rest of my life.

Reading the red tree by Shaun Tan

In room 14 we have been learning about sophisticated picture books and this book is really interesting to read.So we had to do a sheet that was a ....I see,I think and I connect.

I see

The colours I see in this book is blended colours.

The sizes of the pictures are small and big.

I think 

I think she is a lonely girl about 9-10 years

old.Also she probably wants friends to play with.

I connect

I can connect to this because I have seen alot of people lonely 

and wanting to play with someone including myself.

I think this is a really cool book even the person that made this book is awesome.He inspired me by whenever your lonely never give up to find someone to play with because one day you wont be the person that's lonely, always show kindness to each other.

term 3 reflection

In term 3 we had lots of fun with a variety of events and tasks to complete.The most challenging task this term for me was competing in inter school cross country to represent Vardon school.In inter school cross country, we had to run 2.5 km. I was lucky enough to come 25th place. It was challenging because I had to run a big and a small lap and I most likely ran out of breath.The most successful task this term for me was algebra.In algebra we had to learn patterns and shapes and symbols meaning keys,It was a successful maths subject for me because when I was stuck I just kept trying  never gave up because at the start I found it difficult but now it is a really easy subject to learn.And now lastly the most best task I enjoyed was having a PJ party with a movie and snacks,so on the day we got to wear our PJ's to school,bring snacks,and also we got to watch a movie called paper planes but I missed out on it because the Maori people had to go to production class to practise which was pretty much a bummer.But the rest of the day I enjoyed alot.

Term 2 Reflection

This is my Term 2 reflection

Plus - My plus is getting into the highest maths class which makes me so proud of myself.

Minus - My mins is not going to the student led first aide course on the week it was supposed to be on.

Interesting - My most interesting thing this term is using brackets,minus,divide,plus and times to find my answer.

Using google maps

In room 15 we have been using google maps to search up places from satellite view.And then learning how to take screen shots of Vardon school.

Tiger poem

I chose this poem because I love Tigers and this poem is really descriptive and it tells about if your friend is like a tiger. But most of my friends are actually tigers most of the time.And thats why I chose this poem about Tigers.

my SMART goals

For our  writing we have been learning about SMART goals and this is what SMART means.S means specific,M means measurable,A means achievable,R means realistic, and T means time line and now these are my Specific goals for writing my Specific goal is use a mixture of simple,compound and complex sentences in my writing,for my reading my Specific goal is find evidence or proof in a story to help support my answers or opinions,and lastly for maths my specific goal is convert numbers from fractions,decimals and percentages.

Karakariki christian camp 2015

On week Six we had camp and I was really excited for going to camp and having a great time there. After we came back to school on Friday i was really exhausted but also I had an awesome, experienced and fun time.Then on Tuesday  we came back to school nice and fresh and ready for the day and also we were ready to have some fun at the I.C.T suite. On Tuesday we were going to do pic monkey which is when you go on pic monkey and you go on the grid then you add up to 6 photos you want to put on your poster and  they will come up , You choose your grid then you drag the pictures over to the grid and you have some little text backgrounds , You choose some of those then you can also round your photos and you can put a color in your background of your poster you can also write texts in you boxes but best of all you can add buggies to your poster and that is how you use pic monkey.I really had so much fun at camp and I hope we go back there again.

Awesome term 4.

I am very excited for term 4 because it is the last term for this whole year and i am looking forward to our class assembly.But also sadly I wont see my friends until the next 6 weeks also we have athletics tommorow so I am very anxious about doing the high jump.Miss Wyllie has been an awesome teacher to me throughout this whole year since term 1 Miss Wyllie and I have been getting to know eachother till this end of the term but next year I hope will be a great year. For me to learn with all the year 5s and 6s so i am very excited for this term the 6 week holidays and next year. My favourite subject throughout this whole year has been maths and once again I hope i enjoy everything.

PJ party

On Friday the 16th we had a awesome PJ  party it was so fun. We wachted a movie that was Monsters University and we had a vote on Alpha and Omega and G-force and everybody voted for Alpha and Omega.But there was something wrong with the Alpha and Omega movie so it was Monsters University.
Yeah I was so Happy so when we got to watch it I was so excited to watch it.Then after when the movie finished it was lunch time so that was the end of our PJ party.

Tennis

Last week Wednesday we had Tennis. The things that we learnt at tennis was to throw the ball and then
the other person would hit the ball and also you had to take your time. Then we did the back hand and the front hand. It was a lot of fun. Finally after tennis we had a game. It was called poke the ball off other people's tennis rackets you have to try and poke other peoples ball off while walking and if your ball comes off your rackit you have to sit on the side. I had so much fun doing Tennis and doing a lot of different exercises

Statistical Investigation

In room 15 we have been learning about Statistical Investigation.We learnt about Fridge pickers and we had

to vote for our favourite food in our Fridge and they were.

Fruits and Veges, Drinks, Sweets and Deserts, and also Other. The Fruits and Veges was Green, the Drinks was purple, the Sweets and Deserts was pink, and also Other was Blue. Most people voted for

Fruits and veges. I really liked enjoying and learning about new statistical investigation graphs.And I hope we learn about it again next year.

Kelly sport lessons

 On the second week of school we had the Kelly sports come to our school to teach us some swimming lessons. This is me and my group warming up for our swimming lessons. I think Kelly sports was really fun because I learnt heaps of lessons with the Kelly sports people. What I really loved doing was freestyle and the first time of doing breaststroke. What I am yet to achieve is back stroke because I can't really keep straight and keep my head u . I really had heaps of fun. Thanks Kelly sports!

Swim safe

On Thursday Susanna and I have been doing swim safe at Water world pools. It is really fun. What we had to do was swim on our backs and when we got to the wall and  we had to Monkey, Monkey across the wall and this is Susanna and I doing the Monkey ,Monkey. We were learning heaps  of lessons at swim safe. The best thing about swim safe for me was practising my free style and also rocket kicking. The minus for me was people being silly at the pools because I was really disappointed . The interesting thing about swim safe was learning about saving your life and getting help when you were in the water just you and your mate.

My favorite

 My favourite event in athletics 

At athletics we did 100 meter sprints that was my favourite it was amazing. We did fun games like skipping race, Wheel Burrow race and also backwards skipping race it was really fun.

Facts about the Bengal Tiger

1. The Bengal tiger weighs up to 235 kg 

2. The baby cubs drink their mothers milk for three to five months 

3. The Bengal Tiger has four sharp teeth two at the top and two at the bottom  

Kapa Haka Performance

On the last day of Kapahaka the middle team Kapa Haka group  had to do a performance at the St Andrew kindergarten and also at the Elderly people's rest home. On that dayof the performance  I was feeling really shy, but also excited to be perfoming to an audience. Here is a picture of me in full costume.
